The training of teachers who have been left out of the first phase of the new curriculum may start on January 20. Teachers who could not participate in the first batch will be able to participate in the training program till January 24. The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education initially fixed this date to organize the training of the batch of teachers of the new curriculum who could not take training. However, officials say the matter has not yet been finalized.
Dr. Monalisa Khan, deputy director of the training wing of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, confirmed the information on Sunday afternoon. When asked, he said, “We have initially fixed January 20 to 24 for the training of the teachers of the remaining batches of the upazilas where the training of all the batches has not started simultaneously.” However, it has not been finalized yet. The excluded teachers will also be trained. The date may be finalized on Monday.
“We are still out of Dhaka. The date of training of the remaining teachers may be finalized on Monday when they return after the training inspection. Meanwhile, the five-day training of 2,80,000 teachers of the first phase ended on Sunday. Their training started on January 6.
It is learned that all the teachers of secondary-level schools and madrasas will get training in the new curriculum. However, the training of all batches of teachers of the first phase could not be started. Those who could not participate in the training in the first batch will get the opportunity to participate in the second phase.
