New curriculum: Teachers’ training begins tomorrow. Teachers are going to get five days of training on the new curriculum. The training of teachers will begin on Friday (January 6). Apart from this, the training will be held on January 7 (Saturday), January 13 (Friday), January 14 (Saturday), and January 15 (Sunday). The newly trained master trainers will train the teachers. Teachers will be given 500 for daily training. And the teachers who come to take training from a distance will get a travel fare of Tk 250.
Professor Dr. Prabir Kumar Bhattacharya, Director of the Training Branch of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education and Director of the Dissemination of New Curriculum Scheme, said that the training will be organized in 408 upazilas and 25 police stations for five days. It is expected that 2,80,000 teachers will take part in it.
Initially, instructions were given to conduct the training on January 6, 7, 13, 14, and 20, but later the time of the one-day training was changed. The training will be held on January 20 on January 15 (Sunday). Principals of government colleges, regional directors, and deputy directors of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education have been instructed to be the chief guests in the training of teachers.
It is learned that the academic supervisor of the concerned upazila and the chief coordinator of the training venue will serve. However, if the upazila academic supervisor performs the duties of an instructor, he cannot be the course coordinator. The venue for organizing the training course will be selected in the institution with adequate rooms, a communication system, and adequate lighting and air facilities. Safe accommodation should be arranged for the trainers of upazilas other than their own upazila. The training will run from 9 am to 4:30 pm every day.
