Initiatives to make policies to ensure financial transparency of schools and colleges. The Secondary and Higher Education Division of the Ministry of Education has taken the initiative to formulate a policy to ensure the financial transparency of private MPO schools and colleges. The policy has been initially named “Policy on Financial Transparency and Accountability of MPO-affiliated Educational Institutions 2023″.
According to the sources, complaints of various irregularities have been submitted to the ministry against the private MPO-affiliated organizations. In none of these allegations, the chairman of the managing committee has highlighted the financial irregularities. In some cases, it has been alleged that the principal of the institution has used the funds of the school and college for personal purposes.
In the wake of these allegations, the ministry has taken the initiative to formulate a policy to ensure financial transparency in MPO-affiliated educational institutions. A meeting has also been called to discuss the policy.
According to a source in the ministry, the policy to ensure financial transparency of MPO-affiliated educational institutions will be discussed at 3 pm on January 10. The drafting of the policy will be discussed in this meeting. A committee will also be formed to prepare the policy at the meeting. The committee will formulate the draft policy. New Education Secretary Solaiman Khan will preside over the meeting.
Additional Secretary (Administration and Finance/ University/ College/ Secondary-1/ Secondary-2/ Planning/ Audit and Law) of the Secondary and Higher Education Department, Director General of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education, Joint Secretary (Development-2), Joint Secretary (Private Secondary Branch), Deputy Secretary (Government Secondary-1) and Deputy Secretary (Private College-6 Branch) have been asked to attend the meeting.
