Dhaka University invites Ph.D. admission application form ঢাকা বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে পিএইচডি ভর্তির আবেদনপত্র আহ্বান. Dhaka University (DU) has invited applications for admission to the Ph.D. program in the prescribed form. Interested candidates will be able to get admission in the 2022-2023 academic year (January-June) through this application. This information was given in a notification sent by the Public Relations Department of the university on Sunday.
It is learned that interested candidates can download the application form on the website https://du.ac.bd of Dhaka University. The application form should be filled out properly and submitted to the office of the chairman of the concerned department or the director of the institute.
According to the notification, along with the application form, a copy of the receipt of a deposit of Tk 1,000 in the Janata Bank TSC branch, a photocopy of all the examination number sheets, and a copy of the recently taken passport-size photo will have to be submitted attested by the concerned supervisor or the chairman of the department or the director of the institute.
At the same time, an outline of the research should be submitted. For admission to the Ph.D. program, the candidate must have passed MPhil or a four-year bachelor’s honors and one-year master’s degree from a public university or a three-year bachelor’s honors and one-year master’s degree.
Candidates must have at least 50 percent marks with at least a second division or class in all examinations. According to the CGPA rules, in all examinations from secondary or equivalent to graduation or post-graduation, the CGPA should be 3.5 out of 5 or a CGPA of 3 out of 4.
Candidates must have at least two research articles published in recognized journals. In the case of the Faculty of Arts, Faculty of Social Sciences, and Faculty of Business Studies, at least one research publication should be in a single name.
Those who have obtained bachelor’s (honors) and master’s degrees from any private university in the country will not be able to get direct admission to the Ph.D. program of Dhaka University. First, they will have to be admitted to du’s MPhil program.
