Out of 2,550 candidates who have passed the computer skill test, including written and psychological tests, in the recruitment process of cadet sub-inspectors (unarmed) in Bangladesh Police, 875 candidates have been initially recommended on the basis of national merit.
The recommended candidates will have to appear for the health examination as per the scheduled date and schedule at The Central Police Hospital, Dhaka. Only if eligible in the health examination and found satisfactory in police verification will he be finally nominated to undergo basic training of one-year duration.

It is to be noted that in order to make the appointment conditions for the post of Sub-Inspector (Unarmed) of Bangladesh Police and modernization of the examination procedure, the government notification has been issued on August 10, 2021, amending the applicable terms and conditions including the recruitment procedure mentioned in Regulation-741 of the Police Regulations, 1943, sro No.271-Act/2021 original. In view of this, the recruitment 2021 notification for the post of Cadet Sub-Inspector (Unarmed) of Bangladesh Police on October 8, 2021 has been published in three national newspapers. According to the published recruitment notification, if the interested candidates register online, 48028 candidates qualify in the web-based preliminary screening on the basis of their height and educational qualification.
The Physical Endurance Test (PET) was conducted at the venue prescribed by the 8 ranges of physical fitness test (PET) along with verification of physical sizes and documents from December 8-19, 2021, and the written and psychology examination of 3 subjects of 14978 candidates who passed the exam was held in 8 ranges from January 8-10, 2022. Later, on February 17, 2022, the results of the written and psychology examinations were published and 3436 passed. The Computer Competency Test (Computer Skills Test) was held from 5-8 and 13-15 March 2022 in Bangladesh Computer Council, Agargaon, Shere Bangla Nagar, Dhaka and a total of 2550 candidates passed the Aptitude Test and Viva-Voce from 9 May 2022 to 9 June 2022 as per the schedule.
For the first time in 40 long years, it is possible to change the recruitment rules for the post of sub-inspector and sergeant in this era of globalization, along with the practice of basic knowledge of information technology, as well as the appointment of ‘Best of the Bests’ candidates for the post of more capable and technically skilled cadet sub-inspector (unarmed) during the investigation of crime.
