The age should be 18 to 20 years. The height is 5 feet 6 inches in the case of male candidates, 5 feet 4 inches for ethnic groups and freedom fighters (except the children of freedom fighters).

The height of the female candidate should be 5 feet 4 inches. Small ethnic groups and freedom fighters (except the children of freedom fighters) are 5 feet 2 inches in the case of quota. These constables will be appointed as per district-wise quota.

According to another notification, now 4,000 constable posts are lying vacant in all the districts. Of these, 3,400 posts of male constables are vacant, while 600 posts of women are vacant.

There are hundreds of vacancies in each Dhaka, Chittagong, Tangail, Comilla, Mymensingh in the district. The highest number of vacant posts is 334 in Dhaka. The least number of vacant posts are in Rangamati, Bandarban, Khagrachari, Jhalkathi, and Narail. Less than 20 posts are vacant in these districts.
