Dhaka University (Dhabi) was closed for more than a year and a half due to the corona situation. Dhabi authorities have reduced summer vacations after autumn and winter to resolve the session.
This was revealed in a notification signed by the university’s public relations department director Mahmood Alam on Tuesday.
According to the notification, a total of 11 days of class leave has been fixed from 27th April 2022 to 7th May 2022 by shortening the summer vacation of Dhaka university’s calendar for resolving student sessions in the covid-19 situation.
However, the release also said that the mayday, Shab-e-qadar, Juma Tul Bida, and eid-ul-Fitr holidays will continue.
Earlier, a syndicate meeting had fixed winter vacations as seven days instead of 17 days and summer vacations for 20 days instead of 40 days.
The covid-19 epidemic has led to a decision to reduce leave to hurt students’ education and keep students connected with teachers, he said Dhabi Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman.
